👋 Hello,

I am Vibhor. Welcome to the 🔒 subscriber-only edition 🔒 of my weekly newsletter, the “Winning Strategy.” Every week, I answer one reader question about agile, product, roles, skills, job interviews, frameworks, working with humans, and anything else that you need answered about your career growth. You can send me your questions here.

Note: If you enjoy reading this post, would you mind showing your support by clicking the little gray heart below the title above? It would really mean a lot and help spread the word about this growing newsletter. 😍

On to this week’s question!

Q: I am new to the Scrum Master role and looking for some guidance to train my team on Scrum and Agile concepts. Do you have a coaching or training plan you could share?

Thanks for the question!

When you first start with a Scrum team, you start by observing the team for 1-3 weeks.

This is part of your job, so don’t feel ashamed for not jumping into action right away. The observation period is for you to:

  • know more about your team

  • know more about the product your team is working on

  • establish credibility and trust

  • build rapport

For in-depth information about what you should do in your early days, read the posts below:

  1. First 30-60-90 days as a Scrum Master

  2. How to get started with a remote team as a new Scrum Master with 1 year experience.

This post will give you:

  1. A standalone 1-year Agile/Scrum training plan with specific training courses to help take your team from “Completely New” to “Pro” level in 1 year.

  2. A simple framework that you can use to assess your team’s level of Agile and Scrum knowledge and understanding.

  3. A list of training courses to pick from depending on your team’s level of Agile knowledge to help them move to the next level.

Let’s get started.
