I Am Bringing My Career Journals to Winning Strategy
Adding one more type of post every week + other changes
This post is to inform you about some super exciting changes coming to the "Winning Strategy" in the following weeks.
Changes that I have designed to help you advance in your career and life.
What’s New?
Some of you might know that I am a chronic reader.
Over the years, I have read over 1800 books on:
Team Dynamics
Executive Psychology
Organizational Design
Extreme Productivity
Communication Skills
Coaching/Teaching
Influence
Management/Leadership
Trust/Accountability
Conflict Management
Human Psychology
Hiring
Spirituality
Self Development
Literature etc.
My goal is to read one book every week covering diverse topics. I do not just read work-related books. I am a big fan of literature, and Shakespeare is my favourite.
The stories from these books, combined with tactical, work-related knowledge from other books, provide me with new insights every week.
I journal these insights every Sunday night before bed.
And let me tell you a secret.
My greatest “Career” related lessons came from the books on “Spirituality,” “Self-Development,” and “Literature.”
How?
Well, this is precisely what I will share in these “new” posts every week.
So.
In addition to:
Answering Reader Questions (on Sundays) and
Training Series (on Thursdays)
I am bringing my personal journals to my beloved readers every week on Tuesdays.
You will get insights on:
Personal Development
Career Growth
Human Psychology
Book Recommendations
LinkedIn
YouTube
and much more.
Upcoming Sunday Posts
The world of Agile is Evolving.
Along with it is evolving the “role” of a Scrum Master.
I get tons of questions from Scrum Masters struggling with technical terms and concepts.
And the advice I usually share is that as a Scrum Master (or an Agile Coach) you don’t have to be a technology expert.
But…
You need to be technology-literate.
You need to know the basics of how software is developed.
Like in the past, “technical know-how” is no longer a choice, it’s a requirement.
Scrum Masters who have technical knowledge or understanding are preferred over non-technical Scrum Masters. This is no longer a secret.
You “must” have a basic understanding of the technical terms your team talks about so you can guide them better.
And this is not at all difficult!
Based on the “reader questions” starting this Sunday, Oct 29, 2023, I will share a “series” of real-life case studies from teams building tech products.
I will explain the technicalities (technology and terms) as I walk you through from Kickoff to First Release.
So, hold on tight and be ready to learn.
Upcoming Thursday Posts
Let’s dive into Advanced Scrum and Agile.
Starting next Thursday, the 2nd of Nov 2023, I will be sharing a new series of posts on:
"Scaling Agile Practices".
Over the next few weeks, I will teach you the concepts of Scaling Agile from the ground up.
You will learn how to scale agile practices from a single team to multiple teams.
Be sure to keep an eye on these ones because they are designed to help you step up your professional journey.
