๐Ÿ‘‹ Hello, Iโ€™m Vibhor, and welcome to the ๐Ÿ”’ subscriber-only edition ๐Ÿ”’ of my weekly Training Series powered by Winning Strategy. Every week, I answer one reader question and publish 2 posts about Agile Products, Role-Based Skills, and anything else that you need answered about your Career Growth. You can send me your questions here.

Q: I am a Scrum Master in a scaled environment, helping six agile teams. We have recently hired many Test/QA Leads to join the ART as SMEs. I am asked to onboard them to ART. I have a technical background and feel quite comfortable with the different roles I currently work with. However, I am confused about how the QA Lead role will interact with the QAs we already have on board. I would appreciate it if you could share some general understanding of what a QA Lead is responsible for in a scaled environment.

Thank you for the question.

Luckily, I have a deck you can use to onboard Test/QA Leads to your scaled Agile setup.

It explains the difference between the Test Lead and QA roles by highlighting the responsibilities of a Test Lead in various scenarios.

It covers the following in detail:

  1. Role of a Test Lead in a Scaled Environment

  2. Key Interactions with

    1. QAs

    2. Product Owners and Chief Product Owner

    3. Tech Lead

  3. Key events they attend

  4. Example scenarios

  5. Key behaviours
