This is a continuation of last week’s post.

The new job market is mostly looking for Agile Delivery Leads and fewer Scrum Masters. Moving from Scrum Master to Agile Delivery Lead is not a promotion that involves “more authority,” though.
It’s a change of beliefs… again!
In the past, we moved from Authoritative Project Managers to Servant Leader Scrum Masters.
We learned about Agility
We learned about reducing waste, etc.
The time has moved again, and now, in this new AI age, we need to move from being a Servant Leader who watched everything from the outside, without accountability, to being an Agile Delivery Lead who has skin in the game.
As a Servant Leader, your primary view was:
“How do I help the team succeed within the Scrum system and remove impediments?”
As a Delivery Lead, your view becomes:
“How do we reliably deliver outcomes, manage risk, and build trust across the delivery ecosystem… while still protecting agility?”
Let me be clear here, though.
As an Agile Delivery Lead, you do not abandon servant leadership.
No!
You are expanding it into a broader, outcome-focused partnership with Product, Engineering, and most importantly… the Business.
Let’s get started.
