As a Scrum Master, your goal in Sprint Planning was to ensure the team had a voice, the backlog was ready, and the timebox was respected.

As Agile Delivery Leads, things change… just a little bit.

You still have those Scrum Master goals, BUT those goals are layered with 3 additional responsibilities:

  2. risk management, and

  3. strategic alignment

Note: Remember these three points. I'll mention them every time I discuss Agile Delivery Leads.

Here's a simple Sprint Planning structure that you, as an Agile Delivery Lead, can confidently run on a regular basis, with clear responsibilities to guide you.

Let’s get started.
